AQNET is committed to a future where diversity is celebrated, and the rights and well-being of diverse individuals are upheld and protected. Our future goals include expanding our programs and initiatives to reach even more marginalized communities in Uganda. We aim to launch new projects that will address emerging challenges and continue advocating for positive social change.
Empowering Gender Rights Defenders to Advocate for Climate Justice
Our training program, conducted on the 18th and 19th of April 2024, focused on equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for climate justice. We began by introducing the fundamentals of climate change, exploring its causes, impacts, and the basics of climate science such as the greenhouse effect and global warming. Participants engaged in group discussions and case studies to understand environmental challenges specific to their communities.
