AQNET’s Economic Empowerment Programs are designed to create sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities for the Queer Network and Key Populations in Uganda. These initiatives are rooted in the belief that financial independence is a crucial step toward social inclusion and empowerment.

Program Components:

Our Economic Empowerment Programs consist of the following key components:

– Through our Economic Empowerment Programs, we have seen individuals transform their lives. Participants have launched successful businesses, secured stable employment, and improved their financial well-being. This economic independence not only benefits participants but also contributes to the local economy.

– By empowering individuals economically, we take a significant step toward a more inclusive and equitable society. These programs are a testament to our commitment to the rights and well-being of the Queer Network and Key Populations in Uganda.

Participants in our programs receive skills training in a variety of areas, such as entrepreneurship, vocational skills, financial literacy, and business management. This training equips them with the knowledge and skills needed to start and manage businesses effectively.

We ensure that program participants have access to essential resources, including start-up capital, loans, and business development support. This support is vital in helping individuals turn their newfound skills into successful ventures.

Mentorship plays a significant role in our Economic Empowerment Programs. Participants are paired with mentors who provide guidance, support, and industry-specific insights to help them succeed.

We create opportunities for participants to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, potential partners, and industry professionals. Networking is a crucial element in fostering business growth and collaboration.

We help participants access markets for their products and services. This includes market research, product development, and connecting them to potential customers and clients.
